Rustam Minnikhanov and Vasily Golubev sign a road map on implementation of an agreement between Tatarstan and Rostov region

On August 7, in Rostov-on-Don, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Governor of Rostov region Vasily Golubev signed a road map on implementation of an agreement between Tatarstan and Rostov region on trade, economic, scientific, technical, social and cultural cooperation.

The agreement on trade, economic, scientific, technical, social and cultural cooperation was signed between Tatarstan and Rostov region on November, 2013.

The signed road map involves almost all areas of socio-economic activity.

The exchange of experience on the improvement of the investment climate, the implementation of a number of projects, including projects on public-private partnership are among them.

The road map also envisages the expansion of cooperation in innovation, education and scientific research.

“The signed document is a specific road map of our interaction. Tatarstan has much to learn from, including the dynamics of business development, the implementation of new information technologies. The experience of creating new development zones, new economic areas, legislation on the improvement of historical centers of cities is also relevant for us,” Golubev said. 

Minnikhanov emphasized that today Tatarstan and Rostov region are two large economically developed regions.

According to Minnikhanov, there are many common interests and mutually beneficial areas of cooperation at the interregional level. He said that the total trade turnover between the regions amounts to over 9 billion roubles, but these are not fantastic figures.
