On August 7, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, who is on a one-day working visit in the Rostov Region, took part in the opening ceremony of the I-Plast’s plant for the production of large-sized polymer containers in the city of Azov.

I-Plast is a leading Russian manufacturer of large-sized plastic industrial containers and packaging, SMW containers. The company supplies the market with a number of products unique to the Russian market in the field of transport packaging, industrial packaging from plastic materials, and solutions for collecting solid municipal waste. The company’s distribution network in Russia and neighboring countries has more than 30 partners.

This year the company celebrates its tenth anniversary.

The production volume of I-Plast amounted to more than 50,000 items in 2018. The product line includes large polymer containers for collecting, storing and transporting fruits and vegetables, as well as plastic boxes for mushrooms and berries.

The I-Plast’s production facility in Azov is the fifth site in Russia (plants are also located in Nizhnekamsk (Tatarstan) and in the Vladimir Region, another plant will be opened in Tobolsk).

It is assumed that the location of the production site in southern Russia, in close proximity to the largest producers of apples, pears, grapes, potatoes and other agricultural products, will make it possible to provide customers with modern plastic containers in the shortest possible time and at minimal cost.

Governor of the Rostov Region Vasily Golubev, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, and representatives of the shareholders of I-Plast Company welcomed the employees of the new production facility.

In particular, Minnikhanov thanked everyone who supported the project. He emphasized that the new production site is equipped with the cutting-edge equipment. According to him, the investment project of I-Plast Company is a good contribution to expanding cooperation between Tatarstan and the Rostov Region.

At the end of the ceremony, Golubev, Minnikhanov and the founder and shareholder of I-Plast Sergey Donguzov pressed the symbolic red button launching the plant.
