Rustam Minnikhanov and Russian Minister of Economic Development Maksim Oreshkin visit the Biosphere-Fish Farm

On July 14, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Russian Minister of Economic Development Maksim Oreshkin, who arrived in Tatarstan under a special auto race from Moscow to Tolyatti, where tomorrow, on July 15, a forum-meeting on the development of single-industry towns of Russia will take place.

Oreshkin and Minnikhanov visited the Biosphere-Fish complex in the Laishevo region of the republic. The opening of the first stage of the plant took place in October last year. In total, the project envisages the production of five million sterlet fry a year, one million trout fry for planting material and 50 tonnes of harvestable sturgeon.

The Minister looked around the new complex, got acquainted with the process of fry production, including the use of a closed water supply system and also asked about future plans for the development of production capacity of the plant.

After the visit, Minnikhanov and Oreshkin went fishing at a local water body.
