Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov: Uyav is a beautiful holiday celebrated by everyone regardless of nationality

On July 6, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the All-Russia Holiday of the Chuvash Culture “Uyav”.

Head of the Chuvash Republic Mikhail Ignatiev was invited to the holiday that was held in Aksubayevo municipal region of the republic. 

The roots of the holiday go back centuries. Thanks to enthusiasts and folklorists, it has become one of the cultural brands of the republic. Today, Uyav is a significant event in the life of the entire multinational people of Tatarstan.

Minnikhanov thanked the organizers of the holiday and guests from other regions and particularly thanked Ignatiev.

According to Minnikhanov, Uyav is a beautiful holidaycelebrated by everyone regardless of nationality.

“I am sincerely grateful for such a gift to our republic and wish that we always celebrate more such holidays together,” Minnikhanov said.
