Tatarstan President unveils the bust to Tatar poet Enver Davydov in Samara region

On June 29, during his working visit to the village of Kamyshla of Samara region, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov together with Governor of Samara region Dmitry Azarov and daughter of the poet Alsou Abulyanova took part in an unveiling ceremony of the bust to Tatar poet Enver Davydov.

Minnikhanov emphasized that the works of Davydov received public recognition and made a great contribution to the development of the Tatar national culture. He thanked the initiators of the erection of the bust and everyone who took part in the implementation of this project. Tatarstan President also expressed his gratitude to the leadership of Samara region for the establishment of comfortable conditions for local Tatars and for the the support in preserving and developing their national traditions.

Azarov emphasized that Davydov glorified Kamyshlin land in his works. “He was a hard worker and a soldier, a true patriot of his small homeland and great Russia. I want to thank the residents of Kamyshla village for their careful attitude to the culture, traditions, and memory of the great countrymen. Poets have always contributed to the development of culture and the strengthening of the brotherly relations of the multinational people living in our country and Samara region,” the governor said.
