On June 28, in Naberezhnye Chelny, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and CEO of Rostec State Corporation Sergey Chemezov were presented a project of the Tekhnogorod Multifunctional Sports and Education Centre. The presentation was made by Head of KAMAZ-Master Team Vladimir Chagin.

The Supplementary Education Centre is aimed at attracting children and teenagers to study technical sciences. It is assumed that the centre will house training laboratories, workshops, test tracks and a museum. The infrastructure will make it possible to hold karting and buggy competitions.

Chagin said that about 68,000 children are attending supplementary education courses in Naberezhnye Chelny today and only 11,000 of them are engaged in technical creativity groups. “This is 17 per cent of the total number, which, of course, is very little. Due to our centre this number will be increased up to 30 per cent,” he said.

Later on the same day, Minnikhanov and Chemezov met young karters and handed memorable gifts to them.
