Turkmenistan is ready to open the Consulate General in Kazan and to increase the number of flights to Tatarstan

On June 23, during their talks at the Kazan Kremlin, the leaders of Tatarstan and Turkmenistan reached an agreement to open the Consulate General of Turkmenistan in Kazan.

A proposal to open the Consulate General was made by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov. “We need to consider the possibility of opening the General Consulate of Turkmenistan in Kazan. Our relations are systemic and strategic. If you give the task to consider this issue, it would be good,” Minnikhanov said.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov approved the proposal. “As for the opening of the Consulate General, we welcome this proposal,” he said.

In his turn, he suggested increasing the number of flights between Kazan and Ashgabat, which are operated by the Turkmen Airline.
