Mintimer Shaimiev meets Vladimir Yakovlev and Efim Basin

On June 21, at the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan State Counsellor, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Revival Foundation Mintimer Shaimiev met President of the Russian Union of Builders, former Governor of St. Petersburg Vladimir Yakovlev and the famous builder, former Head of the Construction Department of the Baikal-Amur Railway, Hero of Socialist Labour Yefim Basin.

Yakovlev and Basin arrived in Kazan to take part in a joint meeting of the Russian Union of Builders, NOSTROY and the Committee on Entrepreneurship in the Field of Construction of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The guests got acquainted with great interest with the activities of the Revival Regional Foundation for the preservation of historical and cultural heritage. Shaimiev showed them the exposition dedicated to the revival of the ancient city of Bolgar and the island town of Sviyazhsk, the construction of the Bolgar Islamic Academy and the reconstruction of the Cathedral of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God.
