On June 17, during a visit of a delegation of Tatarstan to Tyumen, President of the republic Rustam Minnikhanov and Governor of the Tyumen region Aleksandr Moor signed an Agreement on trade, economic, scientific, technical, social and cultural cooperation. The document envisages the further development of stable and long-term bilateral relations.
Talking to reporters, Minnikhanov emphasized that the Tyumen region is one of the leading regions of the country and has powerful industrial and scientific potential. “A lot of interesting projects are being implemented in the Tyumen region. We are following closely the changes that are taking place in the region, and we are learning a lot from you. The horizontal communication between the entities is very important. There are many new areas for cooperation related to the implementation of the national projects of the Russian President,” he said.
According to Tatarstan President, today it is necessary to expand markets for producers and increase mutual deliveries. “We are interested in supplying our engineering products, including trucks, helicopters, gas pumping stations and other items. The Tyumen region is developing technologies that are in demand in the republic. Collaboration in the field of science is also important. Tomorrow we will visit several innovative sites with which we are already cooperating. I am sure that we have all the possibilities for deeper integration,” Minnikhanov continued.
Tatarstan President reminded that this is his second visit to the region in 2019. In March, Minnikhanov visited the ZapSibNeftekhim complex under construction. “I would like to congratulate you on implementing world-class projects in the region. That is very impressive. In general, many new facilities are established, new jobs are created in the Tyumen region. This is the result of the systematic constructive work of the regional authorities. We always respect your efforts,” Minnikhanov added.
Moor thanked Minnikhanov for the visit and appreciation of the achievements of the Tyumen region. The Governor noted that today interregional relations are very important. “We have common tasks, but given the number of regional peculiarities, the tools for solving them may be different. Therefore, such a mutually enriching exchange of managerial practices in various spheres, including economics, education, culture, organization of local self-government, and personnel training is very important,” he stressed.
Moore noted that today Tatarstan is one of the leading regions in many respects. “Many interesting projects are being implemented in terms of the development of the innovation environment, entrepreneurship and other spheres. We are adopting your experience in a number of areas. I am sure that our relations will contribute to the active development of the two regions. It should be noted that today there is no closed competition between the Russian entities. On the contrary, we are all interested in our mutual intensive development,” the Governor concluded.
