Farid Mukhametshin: “Harvest rates have gone beyond halfway point in republic”

Tatarstan’s State Council Chairman Farid Mukhametshin has checked up intermediate results of the passing harvest campaign in Rybnaya Sloboda, Tyulyachi and Pestretsy regions. He was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of agriculture and foodstuff Marat Akhmetov.
Having seen farmlands of the Tyulyachi region, Farid Mukhametshin and Marat Akhmetov spoke to chiefs of local agricultural enterprises, settlements, and farmers. The State Council Chairman urged to finish harvest works properly and in due time.
Minister of agriculture and foodstuff focused on urgent problems of the agricultural sector, including adequate labour payment and training of skilled personnel for the industry.
Moreover, Farid Mukhametshin emphasized severity of the problem connected with the threat of spreading radical Islam in republic. He urged citizens to stay alert so that they would not be affected by people promoting ideas alien to Tatarstan’s Muslim ummah.
In the interview, head of the parliament reminded that more than 50 percent of cultivation area has been thrashed. “We have gone beyond halfway point. Harvesting is passing in a well-organised and effective manner,” he said.
Marat Akhmetov noted as well that farmers are trying to keep up high rates.
During the working trip, the State Council Chairman also visited several objects. In particular, he inspected the construction of a small tire utilization plant and a two-storey house for sixteen flats.
During the visits to Rybnaya Sloboda, Tyulyachi and Pestretsy regions, Farid Mukhametshin and Marat Akhmetov were accompanied by heads of the municipal formations.
