Tatarstan ranks second in the National Rating of the Investment Climate among Russian regions

On June 7, the presentation of the results of the National Rating of the Investment Climate of the Russian regions took place at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2019).

The following regions are in the top ten, namely Moscow ranks first in 2019, Tatarstan takes the second place, Tyumen region ranks third, Kaluga region is the fourth, St. Petersburg is the fifth, then - Tula, Moscow, Belgorod , Leningrad, Ulyanovsk regions.

Director General of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives Svetlana Chupsheva said that the competition among regions in assessing the investment climate was high. She also emphasized that there is a strict correlation between the results of the rating and the amount of investment in one or another region. Thus, in the regions included in the top ten of the rating, the volume of investments exceeded the average Russian indicators by 10 per cent.

Tatarstan President thanked the Agency for Strategic Initiatives and the expert community for the constant interaction with Tatarstan and for the positive assessment of the work being done to improve the investment attractiveness of the region.
