Rustam Minnikhanov and President of Siemens Company Joe Kaeser discuss issues of further cooperation

On June 7, on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2019), speaking at their meeting with President of Siemens Company Joe Kaeser, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that Siemens products are represented in almost all sectors of the Tatarstan economy.

Opening the meeting, Tatarstan President said that today we have a good opportunity to discuss the implementation of joint projects.

Thus, Siemens equipment is used in such industries as energy and petrochemistry, engineering industry and automation systems, including cooperation with such companies as TAIF Production and Investment Company, Tatneft Oil Company, Generating and Grid companies, Nizhnekamskneftekhim Petrochemical Company, KAMAZ Automaker.

The republic also cooperates with the Siemens in healthcare and transport.

“There are a number of new projects that we can implement. It is important to note the long-term and systemic nature of cooperation between the Siemens and enterprises, organizations and universities of Tatarstan,” Minnikhanov said.

Siemens is a strategic partner of Tatarstan, he emphasized.

Tatarstan President said that on December, 2017, in Munich, he took part in the signing ceremony of the contract between the Siemens and the Nizhnekamskneftekhim on the construction of a new power unit with a capacity of 495 MW, where the Siemens is the general contractor.

The Siemens is also cooperating with the TAIF group of companies on the construction projects of the new Ethylene Complex EP-600 of the Nizhnekamskneftekhim and the Kazanorgsintez power station with a capacity of 250 MW.

“Tatarstan is aimed at attracting advanced technologies, advanced modernization of the industry and strengthening innovation and human resources. We are happy that the Siemens is our long-term partner,” Minnikhanov said.
