On June 6, on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2019), Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with the Netherlands Ambassador to Russia René Jones-Bos.
“I am glad to see you again and to discuss issues of cooperation between Tatarstan and the Netherlands. On April 2 of the current year, I paid a very fruitful visit to the Netherlands. We visited the Philips Healthcare Innovation Centre, the high-tech campus, the Automotive campus, the Centre for testing intelligent solutions in traffic and also took part in a roundtable with the business community of the Netherlands,” Minnikhanov said.
Minnikhanov said that following the visit, the old areas of cooperation between Tatarstan and the Netherlands are developing and new ones are being developed. He emphasized that it is important to continue the high-level interaction.
The trade turnover between Tatarstan and the Netherlands increased by one third and amounted to about 3 billion US dollars last year. The Netherlands ranks second in the trade of Tatarstan with foreign countries.
