Rustam Minnikhanov arrives on a working visit in Saint-Petersburg

On June 5, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov arrived on a working visit in Saint-Petersburg to take part in the events of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2019), held at the EXPOFORUM Convention and Exhibition Centre on June 6-8, 2019.

The theme of the 2019 Forum is “Shaping the sustainable development agenda and the programme consists of four thematic clusters “The Global Economy in Search of a Balance”, “The Russian Economy: Achieving National Development Goals”, “Technologies Shaping the Future” and “People First”.

China will be the guest country of the SPIEF-2019. President of the country Xi Jinping will head the Chinese delegation.

On the sidelines of the Forum, Minnikhanov is expected to hold a number of business meetings and negotiations with representatives of international companies. Ceremonies of signing cooperation agreements and other documents will be held.

Tatarstan President will also hold a number of meetings with the governors of the entities of the federation, including Acting Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov and Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Alexander Uss.

During the SPIEF, a meeting of the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia (AIRR), which Chairman is Minnikhanov, will be held. Tatarstan President will also take part in Sberbank business breakfast” of Sberbank, the main topic of which will be “Russia 2024: Combining stability with reforms”.

A presentation of the results of the National rating of the investment climate in the Russian regions will be held during the forum.

Minnikhanov will also take part in the opening of the forum and a plenary session with the participation of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
