Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, the Republic of Tatarstan, City Administration of Naberezhnye Chelny and Haier Corporation sign a Memorandum of Intent in Moscow

On June 5, in Moscow, Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, the Republic of Tatarstan, City Administration of Naberezhnye Chelny and Haier Corporation signed a Memorandum of Intent to implement an investment project in Naberezhnye Chelny.

The parties expressed their intention to carry out mutually beneficial cooperation to implement a project to establish a modern “Smart Factory” for the production of washing machines in a high-tech industrial park in the city of Naberezhnye Chelny.

It is assumed that the new production facility will meet the standards of the 4th industrial revolution.

The document was signed by Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Mayor of the city of Naberezhnye Chelny Nail Magdeev and President of the Haier Corporation Zhou Yun Jie.

The project will contribute to the socio-economic development of Russia, Tatarstan and Naberezhnye Chelny, establishing a unique production facility, increasing tax deductions to budgets of all levels, developing the export potential of Russia in the field of high-tech products.

The project is supposed to be implemented within 2019-2022.
