Rustam Minnikhanov visits Pushkin Cultural Centre after capital repair

On June 5, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov together with Chief of Staff of Tatarstan President’s Administration Asgat Safarov, Tatarstan Minister of Culture Irada Ayupova, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic - Tatarstan Minister of Education and Science Rafis Burganov and other officials visited the renovated Pushkin Cultural Centre in Kazan.

In 2016, at the meeting with Tatarstan President, the Russian National Cultural Association of Tatarstan initiated the establishment of the centre aimed at preserving and strengthening the unity of the multi-ethnic people of Tatarstan, the identity of the Russian people, the development of the Russian language, the culture of speech, the traditions of the Russian national culture, etc.

Minnikhanov got acquainted with the results of the overhaul.

He visited a café, where Russian traditional dishes were introduced, a museum and exhibition hall, an office of the Russian national culture department and a concert hall for 320 seats.

In the youth studio, Minnikhanov took part in the summing up of the Total dictation campaign in Tatarstan. The organizers said that over 6,000 people from all municipalities of the republic wrote the text this year.

Minnikhanov congratulated the winners of the campaign and wished that even more Tatarstan citizens joined the Total dictation next year.

Then, Minnikhanov held a meeting with the creative community and activists of the Russian National Cultural Association of the republic. “I am sincerely pleased with our regular meeting, held in this beautiful Pushkin centre. There are very active people here who are not indifferent to the issues of preserving the Russian national culture and traditions,” Minnikhanov said.

Board Chairman of the Russian National Cultural Association of Tatarstan Vasily Nosov noted that the meeting with the leadership of the republic is being held for the fifth time. According to him, a lot of work is being done in the republic to support Russian creative communities. Nosov also thanked Tatarstan President for the allocation of funds to purchase the concert costumes.

The meeting participants also discussed issues related to the activity of the Association in the cities and regions of the republic.
