On June 3, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited the National Museum of Finland in Helsinki. He looked around the museum exposition, which informs about the history and culture of the country. The entire collection of the museum is divided into thematic clusters and is exhibited in different halls. The largest department is the historical one. It is entirely devoted to archaeological values found in Finland. Unique artifacts – the relics of different eras and cultures such as ceramics, household items, jewelry and weapons are collected here.

The museum was established in 1893 as the State Historical Museum by integrating several old collections and handing over them to the care of the state. The museum was reconstructed from 1997 to 2000.

Minnikhanov was also informed that the rich collection of our compatriot, honorary citizen of the city of Kazan, the merchant Zausaylov (1845-1908), is kept in the storerooms of the National Museum.

The Kazan Kremlin together with the National Museum of Finland in Helsinki are considering the possibility of the organization of an exposition of the collection of archaeological antiquities of Zausaylov merchant in exhibition halls of the Kazan Kremlin.
