Rustam Minnikhanov hands in school diaries with his signature to excellent pupils as part of the Presidential Diary campaign

On May 31, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov handed in school diaries with his signature to excellent pupils as part of the Presidential Diary campaign.

This year schoolchildren from all over Tatarstan could take part in the Presidential Diary campaign which took place in the region for the first time. Supported by Tatarstan President the campaign was held jointly with the Komsomolskaya Pravda-Kazan newspaper and the Ministry of Education and Science of republic from April 1 to May 19.

The competition was of great interest among Tatarstan pupils. Over 4,000 schoolchildren from all regions of the republic took part in the event. The winners were chosen in three age groups, including primary school, secondary school and high school. Each group has 10 winners, including urban and rural schools.

The winners were invited to the Kazan Kremlin, where they were shown around the museum-reserve and the residence of Tatarstan President (the Governor’s Palace), on the eve of the Children's Day. 

At his meeting with the winners later on the same day, Minnikhanov congratulated everyone on achieving high results and well-deserved assessment of academic success.

Tatarstan President also thanked the parents of schoolchildren for their support and assistance in all endeavors, as well as the teachers for their daily noble work.
