Farid Mukhametshin takes part in unveiling of the memorial to Soviet soldiers and widows of veterans in Leninogorsk region

Citizens of the Kerligach village (the Leninogorsk region) have paid the tribute to the memory of Soviet soldiers who gave their lives fighting for liberation of their Motherland, widows and mothers who waited for their husbands and sons.
The memorial complex was officially unveiled in presence of the State Council Chairman Farid Mukhametshin.
Upon arrival, Farid Mukhametshin went to the memorial complex accompanied by Head of the Leninogorsk region Ryagat Khusainov, members of the State Council Presidium Iskhak Sadriev and chiefs of business entities of the region. Head of the parliament spoke to veterans of the Great Patriotic War and homefront workers. At the beginning of the ceremony he welcomed veteran activists of Tatarstan, Moscow and Bashkortostan on behalf of the Tatarstan President, State Council and republican government.
Farid Mukhametshin thanked people who encouraged and organized the event, everyone who took part in creation of the memorial.
Then, veterans and honorable guests unveiled the memorial complex. A symbol of the victory, the Order of the Patriotic War and the inscription “Eternal glory for Heroes of the Motherland” in Tatar and Russian are depicted in the central part of the memorial. On the right, there is an image of a Soviet soldier, and on the left – image of a widow.
In the interview Farid Mukhametshin said that the event is very important for republic in the context of keeping memory about people who fought for their Motherland and Victory, and bore the burden of ravages of war.
