Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in the regional iftar

On May 25, at the Kazan Arena Stadium, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the regional iftar.

Speaking with journalists, Minnikhanov noted that about 15,000 people were invited to the regional iftar. “Our prayers, appeals to Allah are about ensuring peace and harmony in Russia, so that our country to be stronger and our republic flourished. Today, our friends - representatives of various religions are together with us. Together, we are team-oriented for the benefit of a strong Russia,” Tatarstan President emphasized.

Chief of Staff of Tatarstan President’s Administration Asgat Safarov, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, Secretary of the Kazan diocesan administration Archpriest Vladimir Samoylenko, and representatives of regional municipalities took part in the iftar. Tatarstan President’s son Iskander also participated in the event.

The regional iftar has been held in Tatarstan since 2013.
