Rustam Minnikhanov meets senior executives of a number of Turkish companies in Istanbul

On May 16, during his working visit to Istanbul, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met senior executives of a number of Turkish companies.

The first meeting was held with Director General of Agropro Company Mustafa Özkılıç. The company specializes in the processing of grain, the construction of mill complexes, the production of elevator and feed equipment. Minnikhanov noted that Tatarstan is a leader in Russia in the production of agricultural products, and agricultural holdings of the republic have great experience in implementing investment projects in the field of agriculture. The meeting considered the most promising areas for the development of cooperation.

Minnikhanov met representatives of TTAF next. The Turkish company provides electric connection solutions for automobile, industrial and telecommunications branches of industry. The TTAF product range includes hermetic connectors, solutions for fiber optic lines, cable assemblies and other items. TTAF General Director Ufuk Can expressed interest in cooperation with Tatarstan, identifying possible options for joint projects.

Then, Minnikhanov had a meeting with senior executives of Gebze Organized Industrial Zone (GOSB), the fastest developing Turkish industrial zone, the first organized industrial zone in Turkey and in the world fully funded by investors without any credit. The area of ​​activity of its residents includes mechanical engineering, automobile industry, automotive components, IT, food, plastics, electrical equipment, electronics and other spheres. Gebze had previously expressed its readiness to act as an operator for the development of an industrial park in Tatarstan. The meeting discussed working issues for this project.

Also today, a memorandum of understanding and cooperation between the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency and the Union of and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey was signed in the presence of Tatarstan President.
