Rustam Minnikhanov: Tatarstan attaches great importance to expanding cooperation with Turkish province of Bursa

On May 15, at Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, who is on a working visit in Turkey, had a meeting with Governor of Bursa province Yakup Canbolat.

Minnikhanov noted that Tatarstan attaches great importance to expanding cooperation with Turkish provinces, including Bursa. Today, the regions have successfully exchanged delegations and business missions, the chambers of commerce and industry are interacting, he continued. 

Turkey is one of the main foreign partners of Tatarstan, Minnikhanov stressed. He said that ten large Turkish factories are successfully operating in the republic. “Companies from the province of Bursa are among our Turkish partners. I want to thank you for your assistance in the implementation of joint projects,” Minnikhanov addressed Governor of Bursa.

Tatarstan President noted good prospects for the development of cooperation in the field of engineering, furniture and textile branches of industry, agriculture. “We welcome more companies from Bursa in Tatarstan and are ready to provide them overall support,” Tatarstan President said. He also offered to develop cooperation between the regions in the humanitarian sphere.

In his turn, Yakup Canbolat expressed his confidence that the visit of the Tatarstan delegation to Bursa would give a new impetus to the development of bilateral cooperation between the two regions.
