Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin meets Minister of Industry of the Republic of Belarus Pavel Utyupin

On May 14, at their meeting at the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Minister of Industry of the Republic of Belarus Pavel Utyupin, who is on a working visit in the republic, discussed issues related to further development of cooperation and the enhancing of business contacts in the industrial sector of the economy.

During his working visit, Utyupin visited production facilities of Yelabuga Automobile Plant Production Association and MTZ-Tatarstan Trade and Production Company, where he familiarized himself with the activities of enterprises and their products.

Pesoshin noted that the Republic of Belarus is one of the strategic partners of Tatarstan. “We have always attached great importance to the development of our cooperation as part of Russian-Belarusian relations and are pleased to enhance mutually beneficial relations,” he said.

Relations between Tatarstan and the Republic of Belarus have been successfully developing in various fields, Pesoshin continued. According to him, Tatarstan is interested in expanding economic and investment ties with Belarusian partners. In particular, cooperation in the field of automotive industry, shipbuilding, helicopter engineering, petrochemical industry, high technology, agriculture, health sector is of great interest.

Speaking about business contacts between enterprises of Tatarstan and the Republic of Belarus, Pesoshin stressed that these contacts demonstrate the prospect of increasing mutual trade and huge potential for the development of economic ties.
