Tatarstan President meets farmers and gets acquainted with the progress of the sowing campaign in Agryz region of the republic

On May 14, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov paid a working visit to Agryz region of the republic to get acquainted with the progress of the spring sowing campaign and plans for its completion. 

During his visit to the region, Minnikhanov together with Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Akhmetov and Head of Agryz region Valery Makarov met machine-operators, heads of farms, investors of agro-industrial complex and heads of regional rural settlements.

An exposition to display main socio-economic indicators of the region in the field of agriculture, as well as agricultural products of local farmers, including honey, dairy products, chicken and quail eggs was organized at a field near the village of Urazaevo.

Akhmetov noted that the region has started the sowing campaign later than other regions because of climatic conditions.

The meeting also discussed issues related to the current socio-economic situation in the region, including the involvement of Agryz region in the regional programmes, including the construction of schools and rental houses for professionals working at the local enterprises and others.
