Rustam Minnikhanov at the launch of the construction of Yelabuga wholesale distribution centre: It is an opportunity for our manufacturers to work in the federal retail chains

On May 14, during his working visit to Yelabuga municipal region, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a solemn launch of construction of the Yelabuga wholesale distribution centre.

The project is implemented by Romex Group construction and development company, which has exclusive rights on the construction and management of warehouse facilities for the X5 Retail Group.

“Today, we are launching the construction of Yelabuga wholesale distribution centre. Another similar project is already in the final stage in the Zelenodolsk region, where the area is twice as large. This project in the Yelabuga region also requires investment a total of about one billion roubles. I am sure that the Romex will quickly complete this work. As many as 150 new jobs will be created. It is also an opportunity for our manufacturers to work in the federal retail chains that cooperate with Romex company,” Minnikhanov said at a ceremony in Yelabuga.

The founder and CEO of Romex Group Aleksey Prokopenko informed that the company has more than 20 years of history. During this period, the company implemented over 60 projects with the total area of over 1.5 million square meters.

This is the second project being implemented in Tatarstan, Prokopenko said.
