Aleksey Pesoshin lays flowers at war graves and obelisk in memory of those, who fell in the Word War II of 1941 – 1945 at Arsk cemetery in Kazan

On May 9, at the Arsk cemetery in Kazan, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin laid flowers at war graves and obelisk in memory of those, who fell in the Russian Great Patriotic War of 1941 – 1945.

Veterans of the War, relatives and friends of front-line soldiers who died during the war, students of the Kazan Suvorov Military School and also First Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Rustam Nigmatullin, Head of the Kazan Executive Committee Denis Kalinkin, Hero of the Soviet Union, World War II veteran Boris Kuznetsov took part in the ceremony.

After laying a wreath at the monument to the soldiers, the ceremony participants had a minute of silence to honour their memory. Then a three-times volley with blanks from submachine-guns was fired and the Russian national anthem was performed.

Pesoshin and other officials also laid flowers at the monument to the Hero of the Soviet Union – legendary pilot Mikhail Devyataev.
