Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in the opening ceremony of the renovated Alley of Glory in Yudino settlement in Kazan

On May 8, veterans of the World War II and homefront workers, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Head of Gorky railway Anatoly Lesun, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin and other officials took part in an opening ceremony of the renovated Alley of Glory in Yudino settlement in Kazan, dedicated to the 9th of May – the Victory Day of the World War II.

Welcoming the participants of the ceremony, Minnikhanov said: “Dear veterans of the WW II, homefront workers and residents of the beautiful Yudino settlement! Today, on the eve of our biggest and most beautiful holiday – the Victory Day, we are honored to open the renovated Alley of Glory. This is a tribute to those people who fought on the battlefield, worked hard and forged the Victory”.

Lesun and Metshin also welcomed the participants of the ceremony.

Tatarstan President and honored guests laid wreaths of flowers at the memorial.

At the end of the ceremony, Minnikhanov looked around the Alley.
