Rustam Minnikhanov: The implementation of national projects should make a difference in people’s lives

On April 19, at the Government House of the republic, speaking at a joint meeting of financial authorities of the republic on results of the first quarter of 2019 , Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that the implementation of national projects should make a difference in people’s lives.

“We should not only get money and spend it. We should make a difference in people's lives so that people feel it.  The inefficient use of funds is unacceptable,” Minnikhanov said.

According to him, Tatarstan should get effect the national projects are aimed at. The relevant ministries should take this matter under control, Tatarstan President emphasized.

The total amount of funding allocated for activities to implement the national projects in the republic in 2019 makes 19.6 billion roubles, including 15.1 billion roubles from the federal budget and 4.5 billion roubles from the regional budget. As many as1.8 billion roubles have been spent for this purpose for the first three months.

Speaking at the meeting, Minister of Finance of the republic  Radik Gaizatullin said that the collection of personal income tax has increased by 5.4 per cent in Tatarstan since the beginning of the year.

However, the growth rate of personal income tax is lower than that in the past two years, the Minister  emphasized.

He continued that tax and non-tax revenues of the consolidated budget of the republic have amounted to 66 billion roubles since the beginning of the year. The income tax has amounted to 27.8 billion roubles, while the personal income tax has made 17.7 billion roubles.

According to him, 1.9 billion roubles of land tax and 2.5 billion roubles of total revenue tax have been collected. Non-tax revenues have amounted to 4.7 billion roubles.

At the same time, budget expenditures of the republic have amounted to 45.8 billion roubles, Gaizatullin concluded.
