labor that the brotherhood of nations is the strongest foundation for the well-being and prosperity of our Fatherland,” Khabirov said at the opening ceremony.
He said that over one million Tatars live in Bashkortostan. “This is the largest Tatar diaspora outside of Tatarstan. They feel great in our republic. I want to thank Tatarstan President for the support of the Bashkir diaspora in Tatarstan. We can achieve more together,” Khabirov added.
In his turn, Minnikhanov congratulated the Bashkortostan citizens on the 100th anniversary of the Bashkir Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. He noted that the Days of Tatarstan in Bashkortostan were organized for the first time in over 30 years. “Today, there is no one closer than the Tatars and the Bashkirs. We had a meeting with representatives of the Tatar community.
The issues that are close to all of us emerged in all the speeches, in particular, the preservation of the native language, national traditions and customs. Tatarstan and Bashkortostan are the two leading regions of Russia, we have much in common. Our friendly relations should only get stronger!” Tatarstan President said.
