Minnikhanov meets senior executives of the Turkish ENKA Construction Company

On April 16, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met a delegation of the Turkish ENKA Construction Company led by its General Manager and Chairman of the Executive Committee Mehmet Tara.

Founded in 1957, ENKA is an international company providing services in the field of engineering design and construction. With the head office located in Istanbul (Turkey), the company specializes in the construction of industrial facilities, hydraulic structures, power facilities, commercial and residential buildings.

Tatarstan President emphasized that the republic has wide experience in cooperating with Turkish companies. “Turkish business has already invested about 2 billion US dollars in Tatarstan. All projects have been successfully implemented. Currently, such companies as Kastamonu Entegre, Sisecam, Hayat Kimya, Trakya Glass Rus, Coskunoz, Koluman, Tirsan Kardan and a number of others are operating in Tatarstan,” he said.

Minnikhanov noted that ENKA has solid experience in working in Russia. “You are participating in large projects, in particular, in the oil and gas sector - Sakhalin-1 and Sakhalin-2. You also have extensive experience in power engineering projects,” Tatarstan President emphasized.

In his turn, Mehmet Tara said that ENKA has already worked in Tatarstan and is interested in further development of cooperation.

The meeting discussed prospects for the participation of the Turkish company in projects in the field of power engineering, petrochemical and oil sectors.
