Photo exhibition “Kazan and Tatarstan as seen by the Turks” opened in Consulate general of Turkey in Kazan

Solemn opening of the photo exhibition “Kazan and Tatarstan as seen by the Turks” was held in Consulate general of Turkey in Kazan with participation of the Turkish Minister of culture and tourism Ertuğrul Günay and Chairman of RT State Council Farid Mukhametshin.
Consul-general of Turkey in Kazan Ahmet Akynty noted that it is the fourth exhibition organized at the diplomatic representation.
According to Ertuğrul Günay, fraternal peoples of Tatarstan and Turkey have much in common. “Together we celebrate Sabantui in Istanbul, and Nauruz. I sincerely thank our Tatarstan friends for help and cooperation in cultural sphere,” he said.
“We have established partnership, even fraternal relationships with the Turkish people. We honor and know the history of our two Turkic nations,” Farid Mukhametshin stressed in turn.
Head of the Tatarstan Parliament addressed the Turkish Minister of culture and tourism with words of gratitude for holding a series of cultural events in Istanbul and Ankara dated to 125th anniversary of the outstanding Tatar poet Gabdulla Tukai.
Deputy Chairman of RT State Council Rimma Ratnikova, Secretary of RT State Council Liliya Mavrina, RT Minister of culture Airat Sibagatullin, Plenipotentiary of Tatarstan in Turkey Radik Gimatdinov, deputies of the republican parliament, officials of foreign states accredited in Tatarstan attended opening of the exhibition.
Eighty amateur photo expositions were presented at the exhibition. The Kazan architecture, landscapes, and everyday life of Tatarstan cities are depicted on photos.
