Rustam Minnikhanov holds a regular meeting of the Supervisory Board of Tatarstan Investment and Venture Fund

On April 11, at the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Centre, during Russian Venture Forum, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov held a regular meeting of the Supervisory Board of Tatarstan Investment and Venture Fund.

During the meeting, Minnikhanov emphasized that one of the key issues of the innovation economy is the creation and introduction of new technologies. Scientific centres are certainly playing a leading role here.

A developed innovation infrastructure has been established at the universities of the republic in recent years, including high-tech laboratories, engineering centers, business incubators. At the same time, the efficiency of the innovation process remains at a low level, Minnikhanov emphasized. According to him, for the successful promotion of innovative products and its successful implementation, it is necessary to establish a technology transfer centre, including an inter-university one.

The members of the Board also discussed such issues as the conditions for the commercialization of innovative projects, the main problems for the development of innovations and other relevant issues of the industry.
