Rustam Minnikhanov meets Secretary-General of the Muslim World League Mohammed Bin Abdul-Karim Al-Issa in the Kazan Kremlin

On April 5, at their meeting in the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Secretary-General of the Muslim World League Mohammed bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa exchanged their views on interaction between Russia and the Islamic world.

A delegation from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia led by Mohammed Bin Abdul-Karim Al-Issa is on a working visit in Kazan (April 4-7, 2019).

The delegation members are expected to visit the Kazan (Volga region) Federal University, the Russian Islamic University, and to get acquainted with the activities of the Bolgar Islamic Academy, where Mohammed Bin Abdul-Karim Al-Issa will deliver a lecture for students of this university.

It was noted at the meeting that Russia joined the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) as an observer in 2005 .

Minnikhanov reminded that by the order of Russian President Vladimir Putin he has headed the Russia-Islamic World Strategic Vision Group since 2014.

During the meeting, Minnikhanov expressed hope for successful and fruitful cooperation in strengthening universal human and spiritual values ​​in the world.

At the end of the meeting, the Muslim World League and the Centralized Religious Organization - the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Republic of Tatarstan signed a cooperation agreement.
