Rustam Minnikhanov meets senior officials of the Danish Agriculture and Food Council

On April 3, during his working visit to Copenhagen (the Kingdom of Denmark), Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with senior officials of the Danish Agriculture and Food Council, at which the prospects for cooperation between Tatarstan and the Council were discussed.

During the meeting, they discussed the planned visit of representatives of the Danish Council to Tatarstan. The visit is expected to take place in June of the current year and colleagues from Denmark expressed their intention to explore the possibilities for further mutually beneficial cooperation with Tatarstan.

“We are interested in cooperation with your organization and will be glad to see your delegation in the republic,” Minnikhanov said. Tatarstan President also noted that the republic is one of the leading Russian regions in the national rating of the investment climate and ranks 1st in the country in milk production and can provide a constant, high-quality raw material base.

According to Minnikhanov, regional agricultural holdings have great experience in implementing large-scale investment projects.

Head of Food Safety and Veterinary Issues at the Danish Council Jens Ebbesen said that the organization has good business relations with Russia. He briefed about the work of the Council in such areas as animal husbandry, growing crops, meat processing, food additives production, etc. According to him, cooperation in the field of veterinary medicine, livestock breeding, and the use of know-how technologies is developing most successfully.

Minnikhanov said that Tatarstan is interested in cooperation with the Danish Council. Your experience and your technology are very important for us. It is necessary to share experience, he said. Tatarstan President also emphasized that the experience of Danish colleagues in the establishment of reproductive livestock farms is interesting.

Minnikhanov gave an errand to the relevant regional departments to work out the upcoming visit of the Danish Council delegation to Tatarstan.
