Two-month cleaning and environmental campaign starts in Tatarstan on April 1

On March 26, speaking at the Government House of the republic at a regional meeting, Tatarstan Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Aleksandr Shadrikov said that a two-month cleaning and environmental campaign starts in Tatarstan on April 1 and the work of environmental departments of the republic will be strengthened during this period.

The campaign is aimed at the formation of an active citizenship and ecological culture among the population and raising public awareness on the environment.

During the event, all citizens and organizations are invited to implement their environmental initiatives and take part in the EcoSpring - 2019 contest.

Holding of the first stage of a joint campaign with Durasel Russia Company among 300 general education organizations for the collection of batteries will be the innovation of this year. The Durasel provides about 3,000 containers of various sizes. Winners will be determined in such nominations as “Best Student” and “Best School”.
