Rustam Minnkhanov invites President of the Regional Council of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur Renaud Muselier to visit Tatarstan

On March 21, at his meeting with President of the Regional Council of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur Renaud Muselier, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, who is on a two-day working visit in Marseille (France), said that Tatarstan attaches great importance to the development of cooperation with France as part of relations between Russia and France. 

Minnikhanov thanked Muselier for the meeting and for the attention paid to Tatarstan as one of the Russian regions. He reminded that he has paid many business visits to France and that delegations from France regularly come to Tatarstan.

“Many of our projects are implemented in cooperation with foreign partners, including French companies,” Minnikhanov said during the meeting. “We invite the business of your region to cooperate with our republic.”

Then, the meeting was held in an expanded format. The President of the Regional Council of Provence - Alpes - Côte d'Azur welcomed the members of the delegation of Tatarstan and expressed his hope that he could pay a visit to this Russian region.

The meeting exchanged views on the need to expand contacts in the field of culture, science, education, tourism.

The issues of tolerance, peaceful coexistence of representatives of various religions were also discussed.

Minnikhanov invited Muselier to visit Tatarstan as the head of a delegation of French business circles and expressed his hope that “cooperation between Tatarstan and the Provence-Alpes region — Cote d'Azur will always develop.”
