Rustam Minnikhanov meets regional representatives of Vkontakte social media in Tatarstan

On March 7, at the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with regional representatives of Vkontakte social media.

VKontakte had announced previously that they would launch a programme of regional representatives in Kazan. As part of the pilot programme, the company representatives will analyze the peculiarities of the use of media and content creation in a particular region to improve the products of the social media.

Dilyara Makhiyanova, who was previously involved in various projects in the republic, working with official social media platforms, has became a regional representative of VKontakte in Tatarstan. “She is well familiar with the republic, has experience and best practices. Therefore, VKontakte has chosen her as a person for interaction,” Chief of Staff of Tatarstan President’s Administration Aleksandr Terentyev noted.

“Now we will be in close contact with local media, bloggers, musicians. We will be kept abreast of the events and will interact more closely,” Director of Partnership Marketing at VK Konstantin Sidorkov added.

Tatarstan President was also informed that today at the Kazan Arena stadium the VKontakte team will meet local authors to introduce a new representative of the social media and announce plans for further interaction.

As noted at the meeting, Kazan has became the second city where the pilot project was launched. The first local VKontakte office was opened in Yekaterinburg.
