Rustam Minnikhanov invites Minister for Agriculture of the Czech Republic Miroslav Toman to Tatarstan to get acquainted with the agricultural potential of the region

On March 6, during his working visit to the Czech Republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Minister for Agriculture of the Czech Republic Miroslav Toman.

Speaking at the meeting, Minnikhanov thanked Toman for his interest in developing cooperation between the Czech Republic and Tatarstan.

We are actively cooperating with the Czech Republic in various fields, Minnikhanov said.

It was noted at the meeting that Czech companies are successfully operating in the republic. Official meetings and visits of business circles are held regularly. There is a representative office of Tatarstan in Prague. A joint working group was set up to coordinate trade and economic cooperation between the Czech Republic and Tatarstan.

Minnikhanov called cooperation in the petrochemical sector and power industry, cooperation in the field of mechanical engineering, machine-tool construction and engine-building, automotive engineering and production of automotive components, and drug production among the joint projects between Tatarstan and the Czech Republic.

There is also significant potential for the development of joint projects in the field of agriculture, he added. 

Tatarstan President briefly told the Minister about the agricultural complex of the republic. 

Tatarstan ranks first in Russia in milk production and is in position to provide a stable, high-quality raw material base, he continued.

Moreover, agricultural holdings of Tatarstan have extensive experience in implementing large-scale investment projects.

“We count on your support in developing mutually beneficial relations between Tatarstan and the Czech Republic as part of Russian-Czech relations,” Minnikhanov said and invited the Minister to visit Tatarstan to get acquainted with the agricultural potential of the republic.
