On March 3, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov paid a working visit to Tobolsk (the Tyumen Region) to look around the ZapSibNeftekhim petrochemical complex of SIBUR Group under construction.

At the Roschino airport, Minnikhanov was met by Vice-Governor of the Tyumen Region Sergey Sarychev, Member of the Management Board — Managing Director at SIBUR Rustam Galiakhmetov and other officials.

Upon arrival, Minnikhanov and his entourage went to see the facility. After looking around the ZapSibNeftekhim complex under construction, Tatarstan President answered questions from reporters.

“We are proud of our colleagues from SIBUR Group, who have managed to implement a world-class project in such a short time and with high quality,” Minnikhanov said. “This year the complex will produce finished products. About 28,000 builders were involved to implement the project. This is a huge team.”

Minnikhanov noted that Tatarstan also has experience in implementing global projects.

“I want to wish SIBUR to move on,” Minnikhanov said. “The ZapSibNeftekhim complex is a large-scale and well-planned project. A team of true professionals works there.”

Minnikhanov also stressed that the tasks the Russian President Vladimir Putin has set, including the creation of high-tech jobs, the import substitution, the production of export-oriented products, have been fulfilled under the project.
