Rustam Minnnikhanov: Our close ties with Siemens и Linde are a vivid example of effective cooperation between Tatarstan and Bavaria

On February 19, during his working visit to Munich (the German State of Bavaria), Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Head of the Bavarian State Chancellery Florian Herrmann.

According to Minnikhanov, close ties with Siemens and Linde are two vivid examples of effective cooperation between Tatarstan and Bavaria. “For many years they have been our partners in many projects. Siemens works in various fields, including healthcare, petrochemical industry, power engineering, digital technology. We are implementing large projects with them, in particular, in the energy sector,” Tatarstan President said.

According to Tatarstan President, Linde company is a world leader in the petrochemical sector. “A number of large-scale projects have been implemented with Linde. There is a new large joint project to build an ethylene complex in the republic. All documents have already been signed and more than 500 people from Linde are already involved in this project. Our colleagues from TAIF Production and Investment Company will be working today and tomorrow on all these projects,” Minnikhanov said. He added that besides Siemens and Linde, there are a number of other Bavarian companies with which mutually beneficial cooperation is also developing.

At the meeting with Herrmann, the education sphere, prospects for interaction in sports, tourism and cultural exchange were also discussed. It was agreed at the meeting to work out a specific document on cooperation. “I am sure that Tatarstan and Bavaria are two large regions that are interested in each other,” Minnikhanov said.
