On December 19, during his working visit to Munich (Germany), Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with senior managers of German Siemens Company.
Minnikhanov noted Siemens has long-term and systemic relations with Tatarstan enterprises. In particular, the German company is cooperating with TAIF Investment and Production Company on the construction of a new ethylene complex at Nizhnekamskneftekhim facilities.
Tatarstan President noted that the republic is aimed at attracting advanced technology and modernizing the industry. Siemens is a reliable and long-term partner in this process, Tatarstan President stressed.
He emphasized that Tatarstan is interested in expanding cooperation, as well as in wider localization of Siemens production facilities in the republic.
Siemens Vice-President Janina Kugel thanked the leadership of the republic for the support provided to the company. According to her, Tatarstan is interesting for Siemens as one of the leading industrialized regions of Russia.
Then, Minnikhanov took part in the signing of an agreement between the Government of Tatarstan, Siemens and Tatenergo Energy Provider on the modernization of Zainsk regional power station
