Tatarstan President discusses cooperation with senior managers of Tawazun Company in the UAE

On February 17, in Abu Dhabi (the UAE), on the sidelines of IDEX-2019 International Defence Exhibition, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with CEO of Tawazun Tareq Al Hosani.

Launched in 2007 in Abu Dhabi (the UAE), Tawazun focuses on defence manufacturing. Through its subsidiaries, the company produces and supplies unmanned vehicles, multifunctional vehicles and weapons.

Tawazun supplies components for oil and gas, aerospace and defence branches of industry. It develops projects in the field of computer-aided design and programming, applied engineering, development of the production process, ensuring cybersecurity.

Two years ago, Tatarstan President met CEO of Tawazun during IDEX-2017.  Moreover, specialists from the UAE visited Tatarstan and participated in KazanSummit-2018.

At today's meeting, Minnikhanov and Tareq Al Hosani discussed next steps to develop cooperation, including in the field of shipbuilding and the production of unmanned devices.

Then, Minnikhanov looked around the Tawazun Centre with flight simulators. Also, Tatarstan President was demonstrated Aurus Senat limousine at Tawazun’s exhibition stand. Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia Denis Manturov previously reported that the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade plans to start production of the Aurus luxury brand at Tawazun facilities in the UAE.
