Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in an extended meeting of the Volga Region Office of Rostechnadzor

On February 7, at the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Head of the Federal Service for Ecological, Technological and Nuclear Supervision Aleksey Aleshin, who arrived on a working visit in Kazan, took part in an extended meeting of the Volga Region Office of Federal Service for Environmental, Technological, and Nuclear Supervision on the results of its work in 2018, results of law enforcement practices and tasks for 2019.

The representatives of Mari El Republic, Chuvash Republic and the municipal regions of Tatarstan took part in the meeting via video linkup.

Making a keynote report, Head of the Volga Region Office of Rostechnadzor Boris Petrov emphasized that over 13,000 inspections on industrial and energy security were carried out and over 65,000 violations were revealed.

As a result of suspension of operations of production facilities and technical devices, as many as 69 possible accidents were prevented,  which is 2.5 times more than in 2017.

Petrov also said that 14 accidents and 14 incidents, including 7 lethal ones, happened in the enterprises, monitored by the Volga Region Office of Rostechnadzor.
