Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Maksim Akimov gets acquainted with projects of Innopolis University

On February 5, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Maksim Akimov together with Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Deputy Prime Minister of the republic – Regional Minister of Information and Communications Roman Shaykhutdinov got acquainted with projects of Innopolis University as part of the Digital Economy programme.

Vice-rector of Innopolis University Iskander Bariev introduced a project of Tatarstan digital model, which involves the development of a 4D geoinformation platform. Under the project, the entire territory of the republic, namely, 67000 square kilometers, was digitized with the help of drones and aerospace surveys. The digital model of the republic helps to solve a number of industrial tasks in agriculture (field condition analysis), in city services (design and spatial planning), in ecology (monitoring of water protection zones), in oil and gas sector (building 3D models of fields), etc.

Then Akimov got acquainted with the development of high-precision method and information system for solving problems of geomechanical modeling. New technology is aimed at developing gas fields.

Russian Deputy Prime Minister also visited the experimental laboratory of the Centre for Technologies in Robotics and Mechatronics Components. The centre develops industrial and collaborative robotics, the new robotic solutions for medicine and rehabilitation, home, agriculture, the walking robots, autonomous aerial and land transport.
