On February 2, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the opening of a new car parking near the Kazan National Cultural Centre. The parking was built by TAIF Group of Companies. The new facility is designed to unclog nearby streets from parked cars, as well as to make the Kremlin Embankment and the historical centre of Kazan more accessible to the public.

“This modern convenient parking was built in one of the busiest areas of Kazan. The facility will be in demand. State institutions, offices of different companies are located nearby. Moreover, there is an exit to the embankment from the parking lot. TAIF Group of Companies made the first gift as part of the preparation of the republic for the 100th anniversary of the TASSR. We are grateful to investors and builders of this complex,” Minnikhanov said.

Tatarstan President also noted that it is planned to build a children's amusement park near the parking complex in future.

After the opening ceremony, Minnikhanov looked around the new parking lot designed for 957 cars. Most of the complex is located underground. The four-level parking lot has 895 car parking spaces. There are also 62 parking spaces for people with disabilities and for tour buses on the roof.

During the inspection of the underground part,  Tatarstan President was demonstrated charging stations for electric cars and a touch-free automatic car wash with individual boxes. At one of the parking levels an exhibition of rare cars was organized.
