On February 1, at the Galiaskar Kamal Tatar Academic Theatre, speaking at a summing up meeting of the Ministry of Culture of the republic on the results of its work in 2018 and tasks for 2019, with participation of Russian Minister of Culture Vladimir Medinsky, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, State Counsellor of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev, Secretary-General of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO, Ambassador at large of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Grigory Ordzhonikidze, Regional Minister of Culture Irada Ayupova said that the main slogan of the regional Ministry of Culture is “Without limits”.
Before the meeting, the guests and participants of the event got acquainted with the exposition of the main cultural projects of the republic.
Then a film about the main achievements of the cultural sphere of the republic in 2018 was shown.
During the meeting, Ayupova made a keynote report and said the name of a long-term concept of the Ministry. “As in the Tatar pentatonic scale, there are five “K” at the heart of the concept, in particular, creativity, communication, cooperation, capitalization and competence,” Ayupova said.
She reminded that 2019 was announced the Year of Theatre in Russia.
Speaking at the meeting, Medinsky called Tatarstan one of the most modern and leading regions of Russia.
Speaking about the system of online ticket sales to theaters and cinemas in the region, Russian Minister suggested that Tatarstan should create the same federal system.
He also added that Tatarstan, among a number of regions of the country, will receive about 500 million roubles for the implementation of cultural projects.
According to Medinsky, today the republic successfully demonstrates the combination of innovation, economic development and careful attitude to culture and its traditions.
In his turn, Minnikhanov noted that it is necessary to promote culture through public spaces. He added that both regional cultural institutions and non-profit organizations should be involved in this process.
He noted that it is necessary to introduce new promising models of communication and to use all possible resources for these purposes.
“But along with innovations, fashionable and avant-garde tendencies, we should not forget about the value of continuity of traditions, the protection of cultural heritage and the intergenerational transfer of knowledge from older to younger generations,” Minnikhanov emphasized.
