Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu arrives in Kazan

On January 30, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met Russian Defence Minister General of the Army Sergei Shoigu, who arrived in Kazan.

During his working trip, Shoigu will visit the Gorbunov Kazan Aviation Plant (branch of Tupolev PJSC) to inspect the execution of state defence order for the production and modernization of long-rang aircrafts, including Tu-160 (Tu-160M), Tu-124 as well as work to reproduce Ty-160 in a modernized design.

He also will hold a meeting on the maintenance of weapons, military and special equipment of the Aerospace Forces.

At the plant, Shoigu will inspect Mi-8MTV5-1 helicopters and the first Mi-38T transport helicopter manufactured by order of the Russian Defencee Ministry
