Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in a summing up meeting of the Ministry of Youth Affairs of the republic

On January 30, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov together with the guest - Head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs Alexander Bugayev took part in a summing up meeting of the Ministry of Youth Affairs of the republic “Challenges. Priorities. Mechanisms”, which summed up results of the Ministry’s work in 2018 and set tasks for 2019.

Minister of Youth Affairs of the republic Damir Fattakhov made a keynote report.

Before the meeting, Minnikhanov and Bugaev got acquainted with a number of youth projects implemented in Tatarstan, in particular, “Dream with me”, “DonorSearch”, “GoodSurfing”,  “Tatarstan Information and Resource Centre to support volunteering”.

The guests were also briefed about the results of the work during the Year of Volunteers in Tatarstan.

“To be in the leaders and to improve at the same rate, it is necessary to meet the modern challenges and current needs of young people,” Fattakhov said. He noted that today the process of establishing of the Ministry of Youth Affairs of the republic is completed, it is important that despite the transition period and a large number of organizational issues, it was possible to fulfill all the commitments in terms of programme implementation and implementation of the regional budget of youth policy for 2018.

According to Fattakhov, the main principle of the strategy of the new department is “Nothing for young people without youth”. He noted that the Ministry is aimed at providing opportunities for social, creative and professional self-fulfillment of young people.
