The industrial production index reaches 102 per cent in Tatarstan in 2018

On January 29, speaking at the Government House of the republic at a briefing, Tatarstan Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov said that the industrial production index reached 102 per cent and industrial output amounted to 2 trillion 818 billion roubles in Tatarstan in 2018.

The Minister added that the average number of people employed in the industrial sector of Tatarstan for the period from January to November 2018 amounted to 336,800 people and as many as 148,600 people were employed in the sphere of trade.

Tatarstan ranks a leading position in the retail turnover among the regions of the Volga Federal District, Karimov said. The retail trade turnover of the republic increased to the level of 106 per cent as compared to the indicators of 2017.
