Rustam Minnikhanov meets Volga Inter-Regional Environmental Prosecutor Veniamin Selifanov

On January 29, at the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Volga Inter-Regional Environmental Prosecutor Veniamin Selifanov, who introduced a newly appointed Deputy Volga Inter-Regional Environmental Prosecutor Aleksandr Gonchar.

Gonchar was appointed by order of Prosecutor General of Russia Yury Chaika on the 27th of December, 2018. He previously served as Inter-District Environmental Prosecutor at the Volga Inter-Regional Environmental Prosecutor's Office in Saratov.

The meeting discussed topical issues related to the protection of water resources, including the integrated use and protection of water basins of the Volga River - the country's main transport artery.

Prosecutor of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildus Nafikov, Chief of Staff of Tatarstan President’s Administration Asgat Safarov also took part in the meeting.
